Special Assembly
|
Wall hanging competition was organised for classes I and IIThe school reopened for the new academic session 2013-2014 on 4-4-13.A special prayer service and assembly was conducted.

Smart classes
|
The children entered their new classrooms enriched with new SMART BOARDS, happily and with a lot of enthusiasm .The Teachers were happy to teach in the most innovative method through smart board.

English Writing Competition |
On Saturday the 13th April 2013, English Writing Competition was organized for class I toV. The children were motivated to improve their writing skills.

Creative Fest |
On Saturday the 27th April 2013, a creative competition was organized. In this children of different classes prepared various things. Class I children prepared poster with pasting work, Class II prepared items with. ‘Best out of the waste’. Class IV &V made beautiful time tables to decorate and use in the class and at home. This was done to nurture the artistic and creative talent of the children.

Farewell Function of Mrs. Shehnaz Khan |
On Tuesday, the 30th April 2013 a memorable function was organized to bid adieu to our dear teacher Mrs.Shehnaz Khan. A heart touching prayer service seeking God’s blessings was conducted. Petitions were offered by the children and readings from the holy Bible, Quran and Bhagwad Gita by the teachers. Ma'am Shehnaz was felicitated with bouquets, cards and gift by the management, teachers and students.
An action song performed by the little class I children stole everyone's heart followed by a welcome song by students of class V. A vibrant dance added colours to the function.
Mrs.Alka Kapoor read the address to Mrs. Shehnaz.The humorous skit made the environment very lively. Under the able guidance of our Sister Incharge , Sr. Marilyn , the entire programme was conducted with great perfection. Mrs. Shehnaz khan was greatly touched and thanked everyone. Sr. Principal congratulated Mrs. Shehnaz khan on successfully completing her years of service in the school and wished her God's blessings.

Labour's Day Celebration & Cecilia Baiji's Farewell |
"Heaven is blessed with perfect rest but the blessing of earth is toil."
To make the children aware of the importance of hard work and instill a sense of gratitude towards the helpers who carry out their duties selflessly, Labour Day celebrations were organised in the school premises. We also bid adieu to Cecilia baiji and thanked her for her years of service to the institution.

Initiation Ceremony |
On Friday, the 3rd of May 2013, the installation ceremony of the office bearers of the Primary Section was organized to encourage our future leaders by inculcating leadership qualities. The auspicious lamp was lighted by Sr. Incharge ,Sr. Marilyn, Sr. Vanessa and the captains of all four houses to invoke God's blessings. The names of students for different posts of Captains, Vice Captains and Incharges of Arts, Sports, Dance, Music and cleanliness were announced.
Sr. Marilyn pinned badges and sashes around their young shoulders. Flags were given to the four Captains by Sr. Vanessa. The young and newly appointed leaders pledged to discharge their duties honestly and sincerely. Sr.Vanessa encouraged the children with her motivating words of wisdom. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ma'am Bharti Goyal . The function concluded with the Sophia Anthem. The leaders were selected on the basis of student election under the able guidance of Sr. Marilyn. Their names are as follows:-

The impressive performance of the students was witnessed in competitions like “ Solo Song , Dance”. The zeal and zest of the students was brought to the forefront through Skating , Hoolaloop Rings, Western Dance, Robot Dance.The results were declared by Sister Vanessa, the Primary Incharge.

TALK SHOW |
A talk on personal hygiene was delivered by Dr. Savita Jagawat for class III & IV and on puberty for class V. The students were shown the way to wash hands and the do’s to keep oneself clean. The talk of “PUBERTY” encouraged the students to come out and speak their problems and queries regarding physical changes taking place in them. |
INTERHOUSE ENGLISH PLAY COMPETITION (Class III , IV& V ) |
Students from class III, IV & V participated in Value Based English Plays. Young participants played their role with perfection. Each skit had an underlying message. The dialogues delivery and the stage presentation reflected the undaunted efforts of the participants and the teachers guiding them. The results were as follows:- |

Learners in different age group tapped their creative skills. They successfully imagined and created wonderful piece of arts. Two best items from each class were selected for the first and second prize. One consolation prize was also given for each class. |
Karate Classes |
From this session Karate is introduced in school to equip the girls in self-defense techniques. Sister Principal has been kind enough to bring a trained inspector to teach children Karate during school hours. |

Special Wednesday |
This month was dedicated to ‘Faith’. Special programmes were conducted to enhance faith in the students and teachers. Faith is a very important aspect of our life. In order to believe in one self one should believe in God and have faith in one another. A special Wednesday assembly was conducted by the students of Primary Section on September 4, 2013. Skit and songs were performed to imbibe faith. |
18th Sept 2013 The ‘Girl Child Day’ |
The ‘Girl Child Day’ was celebrated together with Faith Formation Month on September 8,2013. A wonderful programme including skit songs was presented by students of Primary Section to understand the significance of faith and their proud existence as Girls. |
