Campus news for the months April ’18 - July ‘18

They say “Well begun is half done”. This year the new session for the academic year 2018-19 began on 2nd April’18. All the enthusiastic young Angelites were welcomed in the school with a special assembly which was beautifully organized with thoughts; reflection and a action song.
Investiture Ceremony

Leaders guide by their true example. School lays down the platform for building leaders for the nation. The student council was installed on the 30-4-18 by the Principal of our school Sr. Ramona. The young Angelites of the student council promised their loyalty to their Alma mater by holding the values of the school.

Workers Day

The workers day was celebrated on 1st May to felicitate the ministerial staff of our school. The students of the primary section presented a power packed dance performance on the occasion. A group of 36 students from class IV & V danced to the beats of Gujarati folk lore.

PTM

Parent’s teachers Meet was organized on 5 May’18 to discuss the problem areas and do the necessary follow up so that the students may be motivated to learn better. Parents & teachers had an interactive session which brought forward the issues to be addressed.

Farewell- A teacher is like a candle which burns to give light to the student.

Mrs. Vandana Mathur a senior teacher who had given long years of service to the institution finally retired. The retirement programme was held on 14th July'18. The loving students presented a no. of cultural items to express their gratitude to her. The programme began with a prayer service followed by a spectacular & breath taking classical dance by students of class IV & V, a short skit followed up to enumerate the qualities of an exemplary teacher.

Campus News for August 18

“A sound mind resides in a sound body”

Children need wholesome mix of activities for all round development.

Class wise Debate Competition was organized on 4th August and all the students from class IV and V participated eagerly by putting forward their opinions for and against the motion. It was a continuous flow of ideas and lots of learning for the students. A brief discussion was also held later, on how to present the opinions in an effective manner. This was a class activity and involved the participation of all the students.

9th Aug saw the students get together to commemorate the Quit India day. The movement started by Gandhi ji to free India from the British was beautifully displayed by the students dressed as Gandhiji and British officers. The significance of the movement and its relevance today was shown affectively.

Independence Day celebrations were held on 13.8.18 where the students of classes I & II depicted National Leaders through their Fancy Dress.

Students of class III presented beautiful patriotic song.

2 students of class IV presented speeches in Hindi and 2 students from class V presented their speeches in English. All these presentations added colour to the Independence Day Celebrations.

Class wise Symposium was conducted on 18th Aug’18. Various topics were selected by the teachers and the students very beautifully expressed their views on these given topics. This was also a class activity where all the students participated eagerly.

On 25th August’18 there was Rakhi making Competition organized for the students. The students came up with beautiful Rakhi with heart touching quotes for their beloved brothers . It was a treat for the eyes to see such beautiful rakhis displayed showcasing creativity and beauty.

On 28th August 18 the students of class V participated in a house wise March past demonstration. Here all the students were taught to walk according to the drum beat. All the students rhythmically tapped to the beats of the “ kadam taal” and the followed in marching. It was indeed fascinating to see the little budding Angelites practise discipline to the beats of the drum.
